We challenged ourselves with this design by taking an alternative approach of removing color from the initial stages of the process. Remaining was a focus on silhouettes, structure and characteristics of materials. With color extracted, the quality of the experience revealed multifaceted details that otherwise could have gone unnoticed. We loved how the eye was drawn to the intricate marquetry, the texture of fabrics and the reference to natural elements. Adding the refined color scheme above became the sand between the rocks. We carefully crafted counterpoints in the palette to illuminate the subtle tonalities inherent in the overall design. The result was a room that unfolded the more you got to know it - a minimalist composition with a rich undertone, comfortable and inviting.
