This design was about the audacity of youth matched with the refinement that only comes with age. We wanted to focus on the depth and dimensionality of the furniture's architecture. To get there we imbued traditional shapes with a modern sensibility, layered patterns, mixed materials freely and allowed for the elements to create their own conversation. This led us to volcanic sculptures atop blue lucite pedestals and lacquering the interior of a traditional chinoiserie cabinet in canary yellow. The bold color palette was both intuitive and strategic. The mix of vivid colors like midnight blue, Marrakesh red and multiple shades of teal with a spectrum of pastels, created a vitality which proves that one can have a vibrant, alive space without sacrificing any sophistication.
